The story is about Reynard, an anthropomorphic red fox. Facing the powerful lions, the high-handed male wolf and the weak rooster, Reynard can always do things well. He oppresses common people as well as manages to defeat the power.

故事讲述的是代表新兴市民阶级的列那狐在面对狮王的强权、公狼的霸道、雄鸡的弱小无助时，总是能以自己的聪明机警左右逢源。它一方面欺压平民百姓，一方面同强权豪门勾心斗角，乃至战胜强大的对手。
